Question: Anything else you can share about this week’s Vampire Diaries? It looks epic. Ausiello: Klaus compels Stefan to completely shut off his emotions, thus paving the way for him to become an official baddie. That’s one of, like, four big twists in the episode, so fasten your seat belts.

Question: I wonder if you have any news on The Vampire Diaries? Ausiello: Eenie, meenie, miney… Vampire Diaries! Look for Matt’s issues with the supernatural world to come to a head in Episode 5, per exec producer Julie Plec. “It’s set the weekend before senior year begins and it’s senior prank night,” she previews. “And of course, things go horribly wrong. For Matt, specifically, it’s kind of bittersweet because there’s a sense of the life he’s lost over the two seasons of our show and it’s really hurting him. We get to explore that in a beautiful and tragic way.” Plec also confirms that “Matt’s gotta get laid this year. He just needs that. He needs love.”

We dont want to give too much away, but we will say this – sources tell us that both Klaus and Stefan will take some unexpected victims before the night is through. A lot of blood will be shed, and by 9 p.m. on Thursday, more than one of our favorite characters will have changed, possibly forever.

Meanwhile, Damon is going to make an attempt to get over Elena (which were sure will go really well, given his track record for getting over people), and he and Katherine will do their best to use Jeremys new skills to their advantage.

From what Paul Wesley tells us, we dont think Nice Stefan is making a full return anytime soon, but we may catch glimpses of him. „The thing about Stefan is that the whole struggle the audience is going to watch, and that I hope to convey, is that there are little glimpses. When I say a little glimpse, I mean like a look, like maybe he is still there, but you have no idea. Even I dont know if hes really in there.“

Randall: Any scoop on Vampire Diaries? I know Mason is returning and this excites me. It excites us, too—in all the right places. (What? We meant our brains, naturally.) Were hearing from sources that Kelly Hu (Pearl), Jasmine Guy (Sheila aka Grams) and Arielle Kebbel (Lexi) also will be seen again on TVD, right around the seventh episode. Ghost party, yall! So I used to be team damon on Vampire Diaries but I switched over to Stefan… the last episode made me really want Stefan and Elena to kiss when he caught her! Whats in their future? Right now Stefan only has one person on his mind, and maybe in his heart. In a bromance kind of way, of course. Were talking about Klaus (Joseph Morgan). „At this point hes kind of like an ally,“ Paul Wesley tells us. „Hes no longer forcing me to do anything. Ive given up control and Im okay with doing what he wants. I have no problem with it and I enjoy it.“ And even though we got a sweet little moment between Stefan and Elena (Nina Dobrev) last week, dont except those to come along too often. „He just entirely does not have any empathy,“ Wesley says. „Hes a sociopath. He has no conscience, [and] its going to get as bad as you can imagine. Right now hes gone. Hes gone.“ Aww, bummer city and were the mayors.

Casting 3×12 – TVD are currently casting for a new recurring character called Jamie who is a possible love interest for Bonnie.

Got any news about Caroline’s sto­ryline on The Vampire Diaries? Ausiello: She’s turning 18, and for her birthday the show’s writers are giving her the second episode back, airing Jan. 12! “It’s a big [one] for Caroline,” confirms showrunner Julie Plec of the installment. “It’s emotional. It’s scary. It’s very, very, very powerful.” But the episode isn’t all about Candice Accola’s vamp. “It’s a big episode for the friends — for Elena and Matt and Bonnie and Caroline,” Plec adds. “It’s a big episode for Tyler and Caroline’s re­lationship. It’s a massive episode for Stefan and Elena, and Stefan’s pissing contest with Klaus and the lengths he is willing to go to make his point, not giving a damn about anyone or anything. It’s a big episode for Damon’s continued evolution as villain to hero. It’s just a nice episode all around.”

The wait for new Vampire Diaries episodes is maddening. Please give us some Delenda scoop to tide us over? Ausiello: Stefan’s seeming betrayal of Damon and Elena leaves the pair “fraught with sexual and romantic tension and very, very, very angry at Stefan,” reveals Plec. “It leaves them thrown together to defend themselves against whatever Klaus’ next move is going to be. It leads to a fairly interesting showdown between Damon and Stefan in which Damon literally tries to beat the answer out of Stefan as to why Stefan betrayed him and ruined his plan.”

How about you give me the Vampire Diaries scoop I so desperately need? Ausiello: We definitely haven’t seen the last of badass Original sister Rebekah, Plec tell us. But don’t expect a happy reunion when someone finally takes that dagger out of her. “She let herself get emotionally duped by Elena, and Elena literally stabbed her in the back,” explains Plec. Rebekah’s anger at Elena will be “a big problem for Klaus, who doesn’t want anything to happen to [Elena], and for Elena herself, who pulled the ultimate mean girl back stab and is going to have to pay the price for that.” Rebekah will also be none too pleased with Klaus for lying to her about their mother’s death. “She’s just mad period,” says Plec with a laugh, “all around.”

So Rebeccas coming back on The Vampire Diaries? Please tell me that doesnt mean Elena is in danger! ADAM: Well, somebody is in danger. Big danger. (I mean, isnt someone always on this show?) „There is definitely a major character whose fate is looking bleak,“ executive producer Julie Plec tells us. But not, like, Aunt Jenna bleak, right? „[He or she] may not come out the other side of a terrible life-or-death situation,“ Plec teases. Eek! Any guesses?

How about some Vampire Diaries scoop! Im dying for the show to return. And some of you fans are gonna be dying when you see an epic kiss scene that is happening very soon! Confession: I squealed a little when I heard about it. Any guesses who whos puckering up? In other news, a main character we know and love is leaving Mystic Falls, thanks (indirectly) to Damon.

I want some Vampire Diaries scoop! Ausiello: Things get very heated between Damon, Stefan and Elena when the series returns on Thursday. Look for all three to have dramatic confrontations with each other — and one of the showdowns even ends with a slap. Elsewhere, keep a close eye on Alaric’s new love interest, Dr. Fell (played by Paul Wesley’s real-life wife/Tree Hill alum Torrey DeVitto). Something tells us this is one character that’s going to be a lot more important than first thought.

Please tell me there’s some Caroline and Stefan scenes coming up on Vampire Diaries! I really miss their friendship! Ausiello: Sadly, there’s nothing in this Thursday’s episode. Stefan’s a bit preoccupied with hiding coffins from Klaus. But I have to imagine he’ll find some time in his hectic schedule to wish Caroline a happy birthday next week.

Scoop on Vampire Diaries’ Bonnie, please! Any details about the reunion with her mother? Ausiello: It’s not going to be “all Hallmark cards and cookies,” warns executive producer Julie Plec. “There’s a lot of tension there. There’s [also a] surprising explanation about why [her] mother felt like she needed to walk away and never come back to Mystic Falls.” Plec adds that Bonnie’s backstory will “play an interesting role in solving a present-day mythology puzzle.”

Joseph Morgan recently mentioned that he’d like to see Klaus have a love interest on Vampire Diaries. Is this happening anytime soon? Ausiello: Morgan is getting his wish! While Plec wouldn’t tell us if the lucky (or maybe not so lucky?) lady is someone we’ve met before, she did confirm “someone will catch Klaus’ eye very soon.” Hit the comments with your best guesses!

Because I can never have enough, any scoop on Bonnie? First, can we take a beat to recognize the epic-ness of last night’s episode? (Miss it? Read the recap here.) Second, you know that coffin dream that proved to be more accurate than initially thought? There are more of those to come. “I love that they brought in that aspect of her, because a lot of the stuff that Bonnie experiences in terms of being a witch is very external and all about doing a spell and a lot of physicality,” says Kat Graham. “I’m all about the mind, so the fact that they basically are shooting the character in kind of a parallel universe [in those dreams] is super exciting to me and definitely one of my favorite things that they’ve done this season with her.” This isn’t the first time Bonnie has had premonitions. In season 1, a vision predicted when Coach Tanner died, but since then, we haven’t had any more indicators of her future-telling abilities. “Now it seems like they’re evolving it into more actual dreams or visions in her sleep,” Graham adds. And per EP Julie Plec, “Her dreams are all leading her somewhere.”

I am dying over these Vampire Diaries photos right now and don’t know what to think, especially Caroline and Klaus. I need scoop immediately anything on #TVD. You should be dying — of excitement. Because as hinted in last night’s episode — and teased to Spoiler Room by Julie Plec — it sounds like it’s on. “I have a feeling that Klaus ultimately is equally capable of indulging in love and sabotaging love, just like Damon is. But there is certainly going to be an object of his interest very soon,” she told us Wednesday night.

Hi Sandra! I’ve been reading a lot online recently about a new character coming to The Vampire Diaries, Samantha Gilbert, and that she’s supposedly a new love interest for Damon?? As a hardcore Delena shipper, please SAY IT ISN’T SO!!! It isn’t so. “She’s not for Damon,” EP Julie Plec assures. “We’ll meet her in the past, not the present. She’s somebody that we meet in not present-day Mystic Falls.” All better, Soph?

Anything about TVD‘s Stefan/Kat­herine? Thanks! Though she’s currently on the down low, I’d expect to see Katherine very soon. “She’s gone underground, and so it will be a surprise when we see Katherine again. As Katherine tends to do, she’ll pop up sometime and throw everyone for a loop,” says Plec.

Ian Somerhalder told me at the Peoples Choice Awards that hed just shot a Vampire Diaries scene where Damon „wakes up naked with another woman who is a hot vampire.“ Might this be Katherine? Nina Dobrev (Elena/Katherine) hints, „I cant say whether or not Im in that scene, but it is a character fans are familiar with and Elena will definitely have an opinion on it.“
